The Opportunity

VoPay is currently looking for a Solutions Consultant /Pre-Sales Engineer to join our team. This role provides support for technical elements of the sales cycle, is the primary internal resource for the sales team and is responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with internal teams to ensure that clients are set up for success.

Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Deliver advanced product demonstrations and secure a technical buy
  •  Articulate VoPay product value while showing product features
  •  Support potential customers in their evaluation of VoPay platform
  •  Gain the trust of technical influencers within the prospective customers and become the “Trusted Advisor” from VoPay for those prospects
  •  Create synergies with sales, product and customer success teams while prioritizing proactive communication with prospects and clients
  • Create ways to programmatically and repeatedly demonstrate the platform and ways the platform could provide value
  • Formulate and communicate the integration strategy between VoPay and the prospects’ current systems
  • Enhance standard software demonstrations for use by internal team members
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences and other events
  • Interface with Product Management to convey client requirements and refine product roadmap
  • Responsible for understanding the competitive landscape in depth, and help the sales force articulate VoPay’s differentiation against each significant competitor
  • Work closely with the VP of Product & Director of Sales to provide customer and partner feedback on features, product direction, etc.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of the payments industry and embedded payments
  • Strong understanding of SaaS software solutions
  • Knowledge of Accounting practices and exposure to Accounting Software is preferred
  • Ability to elicit customer requirements and translate in to estimated development man hours and complexity while liaising with the Product team
  • Ability to derive avenues for savings and return on investment specific to a prospects business conditions
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into workable technical solutions
  • Excellent presentation abilities and composure in front of all levels of technical and business audiences
  • Solutions oriented approach, high technical aptitude and business acumen
  • Understanding of relational databases and being able to write basic SQL scripts to manipulate data for demonstration purposes
  • Ability to install (and maintain) a local version of the platform through versioning technologies such as GIT
  • Hands-on experience with architecture patterns, web services technologies, APIs, SDKs, automation technologies and Databases
  • Knowledge of integration technologies and scripting in Javascript/PHP or any other programming language is a plus
