Is Mastercard Send instant?
Typically transfers arrive within a few seconds. Actual transfer times will depend on the Receiving Institution. Transfers can be subject to checks that delay transfer times.
How safe is Mastercard Send?
Mastercard Send is considered a very safe method of sending money due to the fact that transfers happen over Mastercard’s secure network. In addition to this, the network uses transaction limits and AML checks to reduce money laundering. All transactions that move through the VoPay platform are encrypted for maximum security, and we have our own AML and transaction monitoring processes in place to reduce fraud and money laundering.
Where is Mastercard Send available?
Mastercard Send is currently available to Canadian and US VoPay accounts.
What are the transaction limits?
Mastercard Send has a hard network limit of $50,000 per transaction. VoPay customers will be eligible for transaction limits up to this amount based on their agreement and risk profile.
Can I collect money using Mastercard Send?
Mastercard Send is a single-direction payment rail, so funds can only be sent to customers. However, card information can be tokenized on VoPay’s platform and used for AFT transactions, or pull from card transactions. VoPay also offers multiple payment methods such as ACH & EFT so businesses can move funds in any direction.
What is the difference between Mastercard Send and Mastercard Move?
Mastercard Send is part of the Mastercard Move portfolio of money transfer products from Mastercard. Mastercard Move comprises of two products, Mastercard Send and Mastercard Cross Border Services.
Can I use Mastercard Send to pay someone internationally?
