Currently serving as a Member of the Board and Chief Business Officer at FinConecta, Betty brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for Digital Transformation and Open Banking.

In her current role at FinConecta, Betty has showcased unparalleled acumen in strategy, value creation, partnerships, and scaling. Instrumental in integrating financial institutions and fintechs worldwide through a unified platform, she has accelerated the delivery of digital solutions, marking FinConecta as a leader in the industry.

Before her tenure at FinConecta, Betty served as the Chief Commercial Officer of Digital Payments and Labs at MasterCard. Her responsibilities included commercializing innovative products in areas such as order-ahead payments, IoT commerce, and brand loyalty strategies. Betty’s distinguished career also includes her role as the Chairman and CEO of Citibank Canada, where she led the franchise with accountability across all lines of business. She previously worked in Citibank divisions in Latin America, the U.S. and Asia.

Recognized as one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network Hall of Fame in 2014, Betty has consistently held influential positions, serving on boards and advisory councils in both the private and public sectors. Her global C-suite leadership and her role on multiple boards and advisory committees, including Molson Coors, Popular, Home Capital Group, and NACD New York Chapter, underscores her status as a fintech influencer. She holds a Bachelor of Science from St. John’s University in New York and is a graduate of the CEO Certificate program at Wharton-KMA in Seoul, South Korea.
